Latest regional reports say that the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) raided a remote village in diamond producing area in Central African Republic (CAR), killed one villager and kidnapped dozens people.
The dreary rebel group is headed by notorious warlord is known for committing heinous atrocities to civilians. The rebel group kidnapped 10 people in the first abduction and later freed six reports say.
Another batch of 20 people abducted by LRA are still with the attackers according to a government official identified as Herve Omere Fei-Omona
During the kidnapping incident the rebel also torched a vehicle. The kidnapping news on the isolated location was learnt late Tuesday citing Central African Republic poor communications infrastructure.
CAR has been at the center of violence between Muslims and Christians that has split the former French colony.
A senior commander of LRA, Dominic Ongwen surrendered last year but that notwithstanding LRA rebel group remains a security threat in region
