Turkey ongoing campaigns against Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) terrorists have seen 54 militants killed in the last 72 hours.
According a security official on Friday and reported by Anadolu News Agency, security forces in the ongoing operation in Turkey’s southeastern Sirnak province have been successful.
The official said the forces had been operating in Cizre and Silopi districts.
Early in the week (Monday), a curfew was put in place in Cizre and Silopi as forces embarked on anti-PKK campaigns.
PKK is designated as terrorist organization by the US and EU. The Takfiri militants resumed its armed terror campaigns in late July.
The war has since then seen more than 200 members of the security forces killed and around 1,700 PKK terrorists also killed.
