19th November 2015, United States has put a bounty reward offer of $5 million for information on Islamic State Leader Abu-Muhammad al-Shimali.
U.S. through the State Department offered the reward for any valuable information leading to the location he is hiding and or even is identification of the Islamic State terrorist.
al-Shimali is responsible for facilitating the travel of foreign fighters through Turkey to Syria to fight for the militant group.
The Islamic State leader is believed to have coordinated “smuggling activities, financial transfers, and the movement of supplies into Syria and Iraq from Europe, North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula,” the state department’s statement said.
U.N. Security Council had already designated Abu-Muhammad al-Shimali as a terrorist and imposed travel on the Saudi-born jihadist.
According to the U.N. Security Council, Abu-Muhammad al-Shimali will turn 36 on Friday and formerly he was a member of the Al Qaeda terror network.
The reward came when Turkey is intensifying border security near the Syrian town of Jarablus, where he is said to be the Islamic State commander.
