OSINT SUMMARY
17th November 2015, Ethiopian Forces serving under the banner of AMISOM late in the night battled with Al-Shabaab militants in in Moqokori town of Hiiraan region.
The Al Qaeda affiliated jihadist branch in Somalia conducted a daring surprise ambush on Ethiopian Forces base using rocket propelled grenades and other heavy ammunition but they were no match for the Ethiopian Forces.
The militants were met with strong resistance from the Ethiopian troops forcing them to retreat.
Casualties from both warring sides could not immediately be established.
Moqokori town is located a few kilometers from Mahaas where AMISOM force established after dislodging the Al-Shabaab militants from the area in July this year.
