The Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) does not have civillian or terror suspects holding cells, let alone a prison in any of its bases and camps in the North Eastern Province (NEP).
The news article published by the Nation Newspaper reporting that the Kenya Army is running secret torture chambers for terrorism suspects in NEP Kenya as alleged by Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) misrepresents the Kenya Army.
The Kenya Defense Forces is one of the worlds most respected and professional military. The KDF is not only professional, but respects and defends human rights.
The role of the KDF is not to arrest and detain terrorists and suspects, rather to safegaurd the territorial intergrity of the Republic of Kenya.
“The Kenya Army once it apprehends people during counter-terrorism operations, it hands over the criminals to the police who then take those criminals to police stations,” Mr Bogita Ongeri- Kenya Army Spokesman

#Bogita_Ongeri is right….. i wonder why the human rights organisations/activists make alot of noise defending terrorists…. armed forces and and all kenyans have their rights too…
Respect…huh..
