Organizers of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) to be co-hosted by Kenyan and The US presidents have officially announced the arrival of another batch of top global investors in Kenya. The summit will bring together policymakers, business leaders and investors.
The organizers confirmed three billionaires of the ‘Shark Investors’ of the fame investment Reality TV Show; Barbara Corcoran (66years old), Daymond John (49 years old) and Mark Cuban (56 years old) will be among the delegates of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit later in July.
The Shark Investors will be in the Kenya and it will be a golden opportunity for the budding entrepreneurs in the country to borrow ideas and learn from the sharks and maybe get them to invest in their businesses.
The arrival of the sharks shows the potential in the Kenyan market and the investment potential embedded within it is also an opportunity for Kenyans as the three bring together a joint net worth of USD3.9 billion.
Barbara Corcoran, who is 66 years old, is a Real Estate Mogul and the founder of Barbara Corcoran Ventures Partners that has stakes in a number of businesses from real estate to the food industry. She is a speaker, author and columnist thus brings years of experience and ideas to pass on to the GLOBAL Entrepreneurship Summit attendees.
Daymond John, who is 49 years old, is the founder and president of FUBU, American clothing and hip-hop apparel company. In an addition to being an investor he is an image consultant and a motivational speaker. He is also the US Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship.
Mark Cuban, who is 56 years old, is the owner of Landmark Theatres, Magnolia Pictures, NBA’S Dallas Mavericks and chairman of AXS TV. He is a very shrewd businessman as evidenced by the passion he handles his investment interests both from the show and off the show.
All the sharks have stakes in the manufacturing, retailing, food, fashion, sports, and real estate among other industries across the United States. They invest in promising and potential-packed business ideas and their presence for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit only ascertains the bolstered investor-confidence in Kenya.
