Credible OSINT report that Nigeria’s military has arrested a suspected mastermind believed to have orchestrated the recent attacks on the central city of Jos and in the northern town of Zaria. The attacks killed more than 70 people.
The arrest of the unnamed mastermind came at a checkpoint in Gombe State. His arrest was as a result of tip-off and thorough search. The mastermind of the terrorist acts at a mosque in Jos and a restaurant was apprehended at the screening exercise in Zaria, Kuduna state. He was arrested along other two.
Summary
Department of State Service and federal troops conducted a combined operation capturing the terrorists.
Nigerian security forces are doing everything possible to deal with the Boko Haram problem and have succeeded in flushing them out of all major territories.
Boko Haram remnants are now confined to the Sambisa Forest.
