Inspector General of Police Directives
The recent spate of terrorist’s attacks at churches and at mosques in North east Nigeria has prompted Inspector General of Police to direct all commissioners of police to strengthen security at places of worship in their respective areas.
Adequate security presence has been witnessed at venues where Muslims break their fast in the evening.
Street hawking and other forms of trading on Abuja roads and highways have temporarily been banned.
Unauthorized taxi parks and bus stops around Abuja Federal Secretariat prohibited. Only buses and taxis painted in authorized colours would be allowed to operate at designated areas. He warned that violators would be apprehended and prosecuted.
Worshipers also urged to be vigilant and report suspicious cases to the police.
