July 7, 2015: Saudi Arabian authorities report arrest of three brothers linked to the Shiite Mosque in Kuwait
Saudi Arabian authorities arrested three brothers alleged to be linked to the Shiite Kuwait mosque attack. This is an additional number to the previous 26 arrested by the Kuwait authorities in association with the attack.
One of the brothers was arrested after a shootout that saw two police officers injured at the border of Kuwait. The other two one was arrested in Taif, a western city and the other in Kuwait before he was deported back to Saudi Arabia.
The three arrested brothers are linked to the Islamic State of which a fourth brother belongs to but currently resides in Syria.
Summary
Recent attacks by the ISIL terrorist network are taking a worrying trend of indiscriminately targeting civilians at places of worship.
The June 26th attack that was claimed by Islamic State Takfiri terrorist organization is among their recent desperate attacks on the Shia Muslims in the holy month of Ramadan. This attacks have however been met with intense counter attacks with the United States announcing additional support in the fight against Islamic State.
