Somali based terror group Harakat Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement combatants were repulsed by the Jubbaland Administration soldiers after they attacked an SNA Academia Military Post in the outskirts of the port city of Kismayu.
The Al Shabaab conducted a probing attack killing 7 Somali army soldiers. The soldiers withdrew the base allowing the militants to briefly occupy it.
Jubbaland forces were deployed to the Academia Military Base and repulsed the terror group Harakat Shabaab al-Mujahideen Movement.
9 Militants were killed in the counter strike by the Jubbaland forces.
The Jubbaland Administration forces are backed by the Kenya Defense Forces.
The forces are led by Ahmed Madobe, a key ally of the Kenya Army.
The JAF were instrumental in the war against the Shebaab in South Somalia and the capture of the Kismayu Port.
