
Taliban Attack – Heavily armed Taliban suicide bombers stormed Afghanistan’s parliament on Monday 22nd June with an aim of conducting a suicide mission on the parliamentarians.
The gang first blasted a grenade at the main gate which would have killed masses in Parliament. A series of explosions and gunfire could be heard following the raid. This prompted police firing back at the Taliban militants.
Afghan Security Forces responded immediately firing back at the Taliban suicide bombers and killing them all.
OSINT reports indicate that the killed Taliban suicide bombers had explosives – IEDs strapped to their bodies and were ready to kill just before they were gunned down a trend observed from across other jihadist groups.
United States has vehemently condemned the attack stating that the attackers displayed disrespect on democracy and the rule of law.
The police ended the two hour siege which left 30 other people wounded among them innocent children.
