Two female teen suicide bombers detonated bombs at a mosque near a crowded fish market in Maiduguri, Borno State Nigeria.
Security sources said the teen suicide bombers waited for a crowd of traders to build-up and timed the appropriate afternoon Muslim prayers before detonating the explosives (IED) attached onto their bodies.
Another fish trader who witnessed the afternoon attack said “It was a young lady that blew herself up near the mosque where traders were observing Asr (late afternoon) prayers”. The suicide bomb attack claimed a number of Muslims faithful and injuring many that had turned up in large numbers for the afternoon prayer session
The second female suicide bomber was spotted running towards direction of the market screaming on top of her voice; she exploded about 500 meters away killing only herself.
