The Somali based Islamist group Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen, intent was to mastermind a sectarian unrest pitting Christians against Muslims.
The operation did not succeed regardless of the high number of children killed.
Kenya is resilient and embraces religious tolerance. Though largely Christian dominated, the Republic of Kenya is not threatened by religious unrest.
