SECURITY BRIEF
Wednesday 30th December 2015, three Al Shabaab terrorist suspects whom included a KWS officer were today arrested in Mombasa and with them; an AK 47 and 54 bullets were recovered.
According to the arresting officers, the KWS officer identified as Mohamed Hussein, Adan Abdhulahi and Roble Kassim are considered dangerous and might be in a cell working closely with key leaders of the Somali based jihadist group Al Shabaab.
The three suspects were nabbed at Salius hotel on Bondeni Raha Leo street and believed could also be supplying weapons citing a riffle and bullets were seized from them.
There is high possibility that the suspects were up to some criminal activities not limited to terror activity.
Initial police investigation indicate that the suspect registered for a M-Pesa services in other names –Lilian Ayuko and Habiba Mohamed.
Mohamed Hussein is attached at Tsavo East National Park and there is possibility that the trio have other hidden rifles and ammunition either within the park or in Mombasa locality.
Investigation further show that the suspects checked into a room at the Hotel on Tuesday morning.
A receptionist at Salius hotel also identified the suspects as frequent visitors of the hotel since the beginning of the year alongside other people.
The terror suspects detained will be arraigned in court after due process of investigation is completed.
Meanwhile they will be handed over to CID officers and Anti-Terror Police Unit for interrogation.

Cursed humanity
…. some bogus human rights activists will be out to deffend them… i wonder what rights they stand for that only terrorists are entittled….
Either terrorists or poachers or both.
Kudos ! We appreciate the good job you are doing. May God bless you !
I prefer not to judge anyone until they have been given a fair trial. That’s justice and that’s what our courts are for. Mob lynching should have no place in Kenya. It certainly doesn’t help in the fight against terrorism but rather provides fertile ground for terrorists to get new recruits from.
Terrorist should be shoot dead instantly ok?
In battle, perhaps. Killing terrorists alone doesn’t eliminate terrorism so long as other causes of terrorism remain. One of these causes is a feeling of being singled out and treated unjustly.
It is hard enough battling terrorists why create for them an ocean of sympathisers because of our own foolishness?
Our government did the right thing in this case to put the suspects on trial. There is now no need for media lynching as that defeats the process. Let justice take its course. That means the trio are innocent under the law until proven guilty.
Otherwise we’re no different from the terrorists who execute innocent Kenyans on baseless accusation.
And when they kill 147 students in cold blood what do you say? They don’t deserve just at all because they don’t give the same to their victims. They deserve instant death pap!!!!!!
You think and talk like them. That’s the kind of logic that kindles terrorism.
there is no reason at all! for you to speak as if you are al-shabaab sympathiser ok? if you live by sword then you will died by the sword. and that is the fact!
I have no sympathy for terrorists at all. For the same reason I can’t stand bigots like you. Our country has lost more life at the hands of ethnic chauvinists like you in PEV who kill people just based on their looks or ethnicity!
Abou Ali. They Have The Right To A Fair Trial Just To Make Sure Somebody Is Not Being Wrongly Accused, To Remove Any Doubts. But Do You Think They Should Be Sentencf To Death If Found Guilty.
Charles Mugo I think a question like that you should address to the Bible don’t you think?
What I mean is that the law should take its course, Charles Mugo.
Ad for me i dont care, which law are u trying to say shud b followed, these idiots should be hanged in public and buried with a pig skin
The Law of Kenya under which they have been charged Stephen Miano. You can’t just hang anybody before they’re found guilty. That is what killed over 1,500 Kenyans in Post-election Violence and ethnic clashes in our country. There is no difference between those who call for the slaying of anyone accused of being a terrorist just because they are Somalia or Muslim from those who killed fellow Kenyans just because they were Kikuyu, Luo, Kisii, Kalenjin or Luhya in the various tribal clashes in our national history. It’s the same logic that makes these terrorists kill anyone who is of the “wrong” faith on baseless grounds.
Abou Alii are you one of them?
Are you drunk? Or are you just retarded?
hihi..i love your logic Mr.Abou.you have no sentiment in hundling terrorist issues but here i ask..would i be wrong if i presented them to the magistrate with an allegde mudder of 54 kenyans as we know one bullet is one man down..can we call them killers?
Mutys Alfred We don’t even know whether these guys are terrorists yet. It’s for the court to judge and mete out the appropriate punishment. What if the judges rule that these 3 guys are innocent? You think our police don’t make mistakes and haven’t killed innocent people?
so does it mean the rifle was meant for hunting?
Only the court will decide that.
And thats the beauty of Democracy or is it Democrazy?
Anything else, Salim Sande Ramtu, will result in more mayhem and bloodshed.
Do terrorists give their victims any trial at all leave alone a fair trial?
I will tell you for free even if they are released chances are they will disappear never to be see again actually it’s safer for them in police cells than in public
They are not terrorists until the court rules so based on whatever evidence the police may present.
Mutemi Junior – I understand your feelings but I cannot agree with you. To me justice is the foundation of everything. If we deny anyone justice, we should expect no peace. As we sing in our national anthem: HAKI iwe ngao na mlinzi (JUSTICE be OUR SHIELD and DEFENDER). I am just being consistent in adherence to this principle no matter what or who.
Abou Alii… i have in many ocations suported your coments but for this i differ with you…. you are astray bro….
…hope you know the the magnitude and damages that 52 bullets can cause… courts judgement is just an endorsement of what is already known… the verdict can be different from what is expected due to influence but that does not change the truth…
… those bullets were not meant for a holly purpose….
Abou Alii….. i respect your opinion too…
…. its not a must that justice must come from courts and thats why i said earlier that courts just certify and endorse existing jistice…
If we allow anyone to mete out “justice” we would end up with the law of the jungle and mob “justice”. I tell you the consequences will be loss of more innocent lives than that we are currently losing. If all sides loose faith in our courts then all will pick up guns and machetes to get “justice” against their perceived enemy or oppressor. That’s what’s been happening in countries like Burundi, the Central African Republic and suchlike places. Believe me you’d not be talking the way you do if you really understood what such anarchic talk can lead to.
Why arrest them when you have bullets?
Apply israel methods of handling dangerous criminals, and thats why israel is fhe safest country in middle east.
Such pple need not to be spared..
Key words they have been found with weapons what are weapons used for to cause harm u r long theory is ?????????????????,,,,,,,?????????
This guys are atreat to our nation
..wn am watching a movie tht involves CIA operation.
Director radios n say “we dont negotiate wth terorist”
Th nxt thng is .i hea is “execute th threat or neutralise th threat”…if u dnt excute th terrorist he live to fyt another day n kill a marine or comit a terror attack
tht wt kenya should do…not showing us thea 4toz
Never negotiate with a criminal!! A terror suspect with tagible evidence should never be spared!!
i would prosecute them for attempting to muder 52 kenyans..make sure that the law enables them to rot in prizon walls..actually maximum security.
No we have no food for them paid by the same tax payer they wanted to kill…!! Just hung them without trial and if you can’t INVITE ME TO HANG THEM FOR FREE!!!
haha..action against humanity my dear frend..you know that..and afterall psychological toture that is in maximum security cell for years maight be good before they die of ‘natural couse’
they are poachers
Criminals,Pouchers or Terror suspects?
Just read the 48 Laws of Power: strike your enemy without mercy…or completely eliminate him or leave him in a position he cannon recover forever! And here in Kenya we guard them, escort them like VIPS, give them maximum security etec……..Are we doing it right? I wish Michuki was here to show us the way. What did America do to Osama?
They all look like Somalis! What are they doing here?
From poachers nabbed from an mpesa shop attendant tip off to terrorists…. the dots dont connect well!!
They should be allowed to rot in jail. Thats where they belong
Good work.
