Out of the 234 girls rescued from Boko Haram by the Nigerian army, 214 were found to be pregnant.
The girls who were rescued from the country’s Sambisa forest, most of whom are visibly pregnant, are also undergoing screening for HIV/AIDS and other infections.
Those girls rescued have recounted ordeals of how Boko Haram fighters killed older boys and men in front of their families before taking women and children into the forest where many died of hunger and disease

The Nigerian army rescued hundreds of women and children last week from the fighters in northern Nigeria’s Sambisa Forest.
Nearly 700 kidnap victims have been freed by the Nigerian army from the terror group’s forest stronghold since Tuesday, with the latest group of 234 women and children liberated on Friday.
Boko Haram has kidnapped thousands of girls and women including school girls who they have ended up turning into sex slaves.
