At least 137 terror militants, including 87 members of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front), Faylaq al-Sham, Ahrar al-Sham and Jeish al-Izzah have been killed in recent infightings in Syria’s Northwestern province of Idlib.
Assassination operations and infighting among rival terrorist groups have taken a heavy toll among different militant groups in Syria’s Northwestern province of Idlib in recent weeks, local sources disclosed on Friday.
In recent past weeks there has been fierce infighting between Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and other terrorists of Jeish al-Ahrar coalition in Zardena village in Northern Idlib that has resulted in the death and injury of terror fighters from both sides.
Also, Saudi commander of Tahrir al-Sham named Mohammad Abu Abdollah was also assassinated by unknown assailants near Ma’arat al-Nauman.
On Wednesday, two senior commanders of the Al-Nusra Front were assassinated by unknown assailants in Idlib as infighting among terrorist groups has reached its peak in the province.
Earlier in the week, a Mufti (religious leader) and a notorious commander of Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at were killed near the town of Ma’arat al-Nu’aman in Idlib province.
One of the commanders was assassinated in Tahtaya Farms East of Ma’arat al-Nu’aman by unknown assailants. Tahrir al-Sham’s Mufti Abu Mazen al-Homsi was also assassinated near Ma’arat al-Nu’aman.
The infightings among Lawa al-Maham and Lawa al-Ansar al-Haqdar terrorist groups in Ma’arat al-Nu’aman also has resulted in the death and injury of dozen terrorists from both sides.
Separately, at least 30 ISIL terror combatants were killed in clashes with al-Nusra Front in Kafar Hend village near the town of Salqin in Northern Idlib. The ISIL terrorists were forced to retreat from one of their bases in the region following the clashes.
