ANKARA, July 20, 2016

 At least 20 PKK terrorists were killed Turkish armed forces when they conducted air assaults in Hakurk region of northern Iraq targeting militant hideouts.

According to the Turkish military source, the terrorists were spotted by drones Tuesday in Hakurk region prompting the air operation.

Turkish Armed Forces killed the PKK terrorists with F16 fighter jets.

PKK is a listed terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU.

The terrorist group launched campaigns in Turkey in 2015.

The militant attacks have left nearly 600 security personnel, including troops, police officers, and village guards killed while more than 5,000 PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
