Somali’s NISA Forces Arrest 5 Al-Shabaab Militants in Suka-holaha, Near Mogadishu


Somali’s NISA on Sunday 19th June 2016 captured at least five Al-Shabaab militants in their latest security sweep carried out in Suka-holaha locality near Mogadishu.

According to Ministry of internal security spokesman Abdikamil Mo’allim Shukri, the security forces had targeted the militants during the operation.

NISA forces had prior intelligence before the operation against conducted in Suka-holaha, Yakshid district.

Shukri confirmed that five Al-Shabaab were arrested saying they will be interrogated for more leads on jihadist operations in the area.

Shukri also added that NISA security forces foiled a terrorist bomb attack in which the militants wanted to use it with three wheel motor bike.

Somali security forces supported by AMISOM peacekeepers have increased operations aimed at flushing out insurgents from the capital Mogadishu and its surrounding during this holy month of Ramadan.
