Puntland Naval Forces Raid ISIS Terrorist Bases in Qandala Town

Latest military reports from Somali’s semi-autonomous Puntland State indicate that its naval forces conducted raids against ISIS terrorists’ bases in the coastal town Qandala, Bari region.

Puntland naval forces raided remote localities in the outskirts of Qandala town where pro-ISIS terrorists are believed to have hideout bases.

Corresponding reports from local residents speaking on condition of anonymity said that the naval forces shelling felled several militants without giving the exact figure.

Last month, heavily armed ISIS terrorists led by Abdikadir Mumin captured the coastal town of Qandala, which lies about 75 kilometers east of Bosaso port town in Bari region following tactical Puntland army withdrawal.
