Ismael Musamia a Most Wanted Al-Shabaab Suspect Arrested in Eastleigh, Nairobi

Anti-terror police (ATPU) in a raid earlier this week arrested a most wanted terror suspect who had escaped a police dragnet in Voi.

ATPU arrested Ismael Musamia in Eastleigh, Nairobi in a raid that saw over 80 terror suspects also arrested.

Initial probe show that Musamia had already recruited several minors aged 16-17 to join Al-Shabaab.

According to Police and Intelligence reports, the terror suspect was in a cell that was at an advanced stage plotting to carry out an attack during Eid celebrations.

The suspects  arrested in Eastleigh included 15 foreigners who are under interrogation for radicalization.

Security agencies in Kenya in collaboration with public have been able to gather intelligence on terror suspects and suspicious people, with the high vigilance exhibited by the public helping nab terrorist and thwarting would be deadly attacks.
