Garissa Blast, 7 Injured Suspect on the Loose

7 people were injured when a powerful explosion caused by a hand held grenade exploded.

The incident was confirmed by Garissa police chief Charles Kinyua.

A lone terrorist hiding under the cover of the dark hurled a hand grenade at a group of people along Ngamia road.

The grenade exploded meters away from the targets hence only caused minor injuries to the seven.

Terrorism in Kenya has affected tourism and has been used by politicians to attack the government.

Raft measures are being put in place to preempt threats posed by terrorists.

There is a decline in attacks though security intelligence services are on high alert as the threat increases.

There is a possibility of terrorists using suicide bombers in Kenya where they are targeting civilian and government targets.
