Security arrangements made by the Kenya government to secure all targeted areas were not satisfying.
The Kenya government security policy is good, but the most important thing is not the goodness, but the versatility of the units deployed to secure the targets.
The ability to pre-empt a threat is not necessarily the use of smart guns and surveillance cameras, rather the ability to orchestrate events and scenarios that not only makes the threat impossible to materialize but also to render it useless if attempted.
The government of Kenya may cry foul over the travel advisories issued due to terrorism in Kenya, but no one, including Kenyan’s themselves feel safe in their own country. This is the truly profound, and the West does not want to ship dead citizens back home after they were victims of terror attacks in a foreign country.
If the government of Kenya can view the whole terrorism problem of terrorism in Kenya from that scenario, they will certainly see the sense.
On the other hand, the state has not educated the civilians on how to respond to attacks and how to avoid being victims. In fact there is no awareness campaign.
If the country is advised about how to avoid targeted areas and the benefits of doing so, the objective of terrorists will be completely defeated and that is the onset of war on terror.
The president of Kenya is not being properly advised about the problem of terrorism in Kenya, in fact, he has to hire someone who can address the problem.
Keeping terrorism in Kenya in perspective through a professional or an expert who can spearhead an operation that does not use reactionary –impulsive methods rather pro-acts will help the president stymie insecurity, terrorism, and most importantly, save the economy from losses.
