Uganda Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga has confirmed claims that the country is under the threat of an Al Shabaab attack citing that Security Agencies have received credible intelligence reports.
Somali based militants are planning to massively attack Uganda during this period of Ramadhan. Sources confirms that the planned attack if not foiled will claim more lives as compared to the July 2010 twin bombing attack.
This comes at a time when Somalia National Intelligence Agency is still restructuring its security measures following an attack by Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen.
Intelligence reports indicate that Al Shabaab possibly could use suicide bombers, gunmen, IEDs and Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIED), the trend that has been witnessed from across jihadist groups with an intention of honoring Ramadhan as martyrs (shaheeds).
