The Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) conducted airstrikes in the Gedo region of Somalia targeting positions and makeshift camps of the Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia, Harakat Al-Shabaab Al-Mujahideen movement.
Battle damage assessment (BDA) reports by KDF show dozens of militants were killed while their ammunition dump was destroyed. Several vehicles and mobile wagons for carrying weapons were also destroyed.
Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) continue to support the Somali people in bringing peace and progress in socioeconomic development.
The Kenya Army has been core in bringing stability in Somalia through defeat of the Islamist terror group Al-Shabaab.
