Loss making air-liner Kenya Airways will get a $200 million bridging loan from Cairo-based African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).
The airline firm also got $40 million loan from the Government of Kenya.
Afreximbank confirmed that its credit division approved a $200 million bridging loan for the airline.
The loan will be disrbursed into 2 phases of $100 million per instalment.
Kenya airways has blamed rising insecurity and terrorism in East & Cetral Africa’s largest economy Kenya for major part of its losses.
