Al Muhajiroun Secret Communications Reveal that Most Amniyaat Cells in Kenya have been Destroyed

Intercepted secret correspondences between al Muhajiroun intelligence operatives in East Africa; and their commanders in Somalia, Yemen and Afghanistan; have revealed that most Amniyaat intelligence cells in Kenya have been identified and dismantled by Kenyan security forces thus disrupting al Shabaab activities in major Kenya towns, especially Nairobi and Mombasa.

The communiqués also reveal that al Shabaab intelligence cells established in Kenya were mainly staffed by Somalis, Tanzanian Muslims and a few Kenyan converts. Al Muhajiroun has criticized the make-up of such cells, as their composition hinders the cell members from blending smoothly into the local population as language barriers, foreign accents and unbecoming names give the cell members away. In Mombasa, one terror cell was led by Sheikh Buda while in Nairobi an Amniyaat agent known as Ruta faced difficulties due to his foreign mannerism. Ruta was killed during a counter-terrorism operation.

Al Muhajiroun intelligence operatives have also expressed concern that Kenya is increasingly adopting effective counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism measures whose implementation have disrupted logistics, recruitment and planning of attacks. At the moment, the terror operatives are requesting their overlords to send them terror experts. However, Kenya’s security forces have put in place measures to apprehend and destroy these foreign jihadis.
