Turkey’s Bayraktar TB2 Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) was spotted in a recent military parade in Djibouti. The Turkey exported UCAV to Djibouti was displayed for the first time at the military parade for the East African country’s 45th independence anniversary.
The images of the UCAV were also shared by Baykar, the Turkish company that developed the combat drone via its official Twitter account.
Baykar also captioned the UCAV images; “We celebrate the 45th independence anniversary of the friendly and brotherly country Djibouti,”.
Several unconfirmed reports have been circulating on the online media about Djibouti acquiring unmanned combat aerial vehicle, with Baykar sharing these images of Bayraktar TB2s to Djibouti thus becoming official.
The Bayraktar TB2s, are prove combat drones used in Syria, Libya, Karabakh and Ukraine, is the most exported UCAV around the world with military reports indicating that the UCAV has been sold to over 21 countries, including Djibouti.
A Brief Look at Bayraktar TB2s UCAV
- The TB2 has a 12-meter (40-foot) wingspan.
- Has capability to soar to about 25,000 feet before swooping in to destroy enemy tanks, armored vehicles.
- Armed with artillery with laser-guided armor-piercing bombs.

The TB2 has been such a decisive factor in the conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Karabakh and now Ukraine that it spearheads Turkey’s global defense export push.
