Dozens of girls abducted by Boko Haram have bravely returned to school in Dapchi, three months after being abducted. The girls have risen above the threats of Boko Haram and continued to pursue their academic dreams.
Boko Haram is firmly against Western Education and has raided schools several times.
The 111 girls and two staff were abducted in February 19, 2018 at the Government Girls Science and Technical College.
After heavy negotiations, 105 were released a month later alongside two others from a different capture. Five are reported to have died and one is still held captive by Boko Haram.
Soldiers have been posted around the school to prevent further abduction of the girls. More officers have been deployed throughout the town.
