The two countries signed two memoranda of understanding on security involving police and defence cooperation.
On his part, President Uhuru Kenyatta said the critical MoUs will cover intelligence sharing, identifying of terrorists, stemming extremists’ sources of funding and fighting terror in prone countries to enhance regional and continental security.
The two countries also signed an agreement for South Africa’s investment in the LAPSSET project. President Kenyatta said the project is pivotal in propelling development and growth between African nations.
President Zuma condemned in strongest terms the ills and rise of terrorism calling on joint collaboration to fight violent extremism to the end.
The signing of critical deals was made at State House Nairobi.
