Thursday 28, South Sudan President Salva Kiir his Vice President Riek Machar named a new cabinet including rebels and members of the opposition.
The unity cabinet formation is in line with peace accord signed in August 2015 and in a step aimed at bringing peace and ending more than two years of political turmoil and conflict.
In a decree statement read by President Salva Kiir on Thursday and broadcasted by state television and radio said a third of the ministers in the new 30-member "national unity" cabinet were members of the SPLM-IO party led by Kiir's long-term rival Riek Machar.
Violence in South Sudan escalated when Kiir sacked Machar as first vice president claiming Machar was plotting a coup against his administration.
The violence triggered ethnically charged clashes that left thousands killed and more than 2.3 million displaces according to a UN report.
U.S. is putting pressure on the two leaders to cooperate and bring peace to South Sudan failure to which they may face sanctions and arms embargo.
Machar only returned to Juba on Tuesday 26, and was swiftly given back his old job.
