The commander of the Al Qaeda linked Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group has been killed in the bombings targeting Takfiri militant’s headquarters in northwestern Syrian province of Idlib.
On Saturday 23rd April 2016 3 evening, Majed Hussein al-Sadeq, along with three other members of the militant outfit, were killed in bombing attack that targeted Ahrar al-Sham headquarters in the town of Binnish, located about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) northeast of Idlib.
According to Britain based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, unknown person parked his motorcycle near the terrorist group, headed on foot towards the Takfiris gathering and detonated his explosive –laden belt.
Sadeq along three of his comrades were killed by the explosives. Unspecified numbers of extremists were critically injured in the incident.
In July 2015, the Al Qaeda linked Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group lost most senior leaders identified as Abu Abdel Rahman Salqin after two unidentified bombers detonated their explosives at the terrorist group’s base s in the Abu Talha area of Idlib.
Six other high ranking members of the terrorist group were also killed in the deadly incident.
Ahrar al-Sham, an ally of al-Nusra Front, an offshoot of al-Qaeda terror network in Syria, is one of the oldest and largest terrorist groups operating in Syria since 2011, mostly active in the country's northwestern part.
The suicide attacks against terrorist group are linked to the rivalry between jihadist terrorist groups.
