A Somalia court sentenced five Al-Shabaab militants to death over twin deadly blast in the south-western town of Baidoa.
Somalia military tribunal sentenced the five Somali mitants to death over their involvement in twin blasts that left more than 30 people killed in the town of Baidoa last month.
The Al Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab claimed the responsibility of the twin blasts that involved a car and suicide bombs that targeted two neighbouring restaurants.
Colonel Hassan Nur, a military court judge who read the verdict said that court found five out of seven arrested guilty for the planning the attacks that left several people killed and others injured.
The court gave the five a death sentence while the other two were to be jailed for three years.
Baidoa which is the administrative town and the regional capital of Southwest State has witnessed several attacks from the Somali based Al-Shabaab.
The town also falls under the control of Ethiopian troops who are part of the African Union forces (AMISOM).
