Interior and Coordination of National Government ministry on Wednesday 4th November, 2015 presented confidential information to the Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly intending to safeguard it from unwanted elements .
According to Nkaissery, the dailies took no time to release the information to the public domain. Kenya’s constitution demands that presentation of information should be done on camera.
Analysis
By detailing the equipment, country of origin and costs, the media provided critical information on the country’s capability to possible enemies of Kenya.
The information now in the public domain, where secret terror cells could be in operation also exposes the security forces to significant risk.

This is the problem of the setup of Kenya government, where weapons and their purchases details are divulged to the public in the name of transparency. We dont get details of USA when they manufacture or purchase weapons. This poses a dangerous threat to National security and inteligence. The purchase and all information relating to defence and National security should be secret.
