5 Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) officers were injured when their vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) between Hulugho and Galmaga area in Somalia.
Somali based terror group Harakat Shabaab Mujahideen planted the IED along the road targeting the army convoy.
The military vehicle was destroyed by the IED.
The army was on a patrol mission 40 kilometers inside Somalia.
KDF is operating in Somalia under the AMISOM banner.
