13 militants belonging to Somali Islamists terror group Harakat Al-Shabaab Mujahideen were killed late Sunday by Somali National Army (SNA) troops in Halgan, Somalia.
The militants briefly occupied the area but were flushed out by the SNA forces early Monday.
An Army commander confirmed a weekend long fierce fighting in Halgan area between the Al-Shabaab terrorists and the Somali Army.
The Somali National Army (SNA) lost 2 soldiers in the fighting, a BDA report shows.
13 Al-Shabaab gunmen were killed in the operation.
