Turkish F-16 Warplanes Kill 11 PKK Terrorists in SE

Turkish army on Tuesday confirmed their F-16 warplanes conducted airstrikes killing 11 PKK terrorists in the country’s southeast.

According to a General Staff statement, 8 PKK terrorists planning an attack were killed in Dargecit district of Mardin province.

During the raid two machine gun positions were also destroyed in the airstrikes, the army sources said. Another airstrike killed three terrorists in Hakkari province, it added.

The PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU — resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
