Jubbaland Security Forces Intercept Car with Explosives Heading to Kenya

Latest military reports from Somalia indicate that Jubbaland security forces managed to intercept a car with explosives believed was heading to Kenya.

The vehicle loaded with already assembled IEDs and bomb-making materials near Kenyan border.

Following tip-off from local residents, joint operation that comprised of Jubbaland forces and police in Dhobleey near Somali-Kenyan border was launched.

Two men driving the car parked with IEDs and other materials were captured before they could make it to the Kenyan side on Monday evening.

According to Heybe Ahmed, the chief of Jubbaland Police in the town, the two men are under police custody for questioning.
