German Police Arrests Suspected High Ranking Islamic State (IS) Terrorist

German Police on Tuesday 9th August 2016 arrested a suspected high ranking Islamic State (IS) terrorist in the western town of Mutterstadt.

According to a report by a Bild newspaper and quoting a spokesman from Rhineland-Palatinate interior ministry confirmed of the arrest.

He is suspected of being a "high-ranking representative of the militant terror group IS," the newspaper said.

Further the newspaper in its online edition said the IS suspect was arrested during routine police operations.
