Djibouti Envoy to Somalia Visit Beledweyne Town, Encourage Djiboutian Army

The Djiboutian Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Aden Hassan Aden visited Beledweyne town in Hiiraan region in Central Somalia on Thursday following the recent terrorist attack on their base.

The envoy took time to encourage the Djiboutian Army contingent serving under AU mission in Somalia saying Al-Shabaab cowardly act to stabilize Somalia will not derail the army’s mission.

Mr. Aden encouraged the troops, told then not to be discouraged. He promised Somali government and its citizens that AMISOM will remain committed in eliminating the common enemy until peace is realized.

Al-Shabaab terrorist on Tuesday attacked Djiboutian army base in Beledweyne town in Hiiraan killing two soldiers and wounded five others using a suicide car bomb (SVBIED).

10 Al-Shabaab fighters who attempted to enter into the camp after the car explosion were killed on spot according AU officials in Mogadishu.
