Chinese Hostages in Kordofan Sudan Number 35 Besides 9 Sudanese Soldiers

SPLM allied Rebels battling Khartoum armed forces have taken upto 35 Chinese oil workers and nine government soldiers hostage, Strategic Intelligence News has confirmed.

They are being held hostage  in Sudan’s South Kordofan the  rebel National Liberation Movement informed intelligence news sources mid Sunday.

According to the source,  National Liberation Movement representative said the hostages are in the mountains of South Kordofan but only for their safety.

A Sudanese  government official has confirmed the incident which has embarrassed Khartoum government and its army.

The Sudan government says that the National Liberation Movement attack on the workers camp was unwarranted saying that the rebels had taken captive about 70 civilians, “most of them from China”.
