7 Dead, 18 Injured As Suicide Bombers Attack Motor Park In Maiduguri

Seven persons were killed and 18 others injured when a suicide bomber allied to Boko Haram attacked near Muna Motor Park. Those killed were Internally Displaced persons according to the area Police Command.

According to Borno State Police Commissioner, Mr. Damien Chukwu, the attack took place at about 4.30am.

Giving the chronology of the attack Borno State Police Commissioner began saying it was a sad day for Maiduguri.

At about 0430hrs, bombers attacked Gulunba and Sinhinbaya unofficial camps, killing three persons and injuring 14 others.

A few minutes later, another bomber attacked Muslim faithful, who were about to start dawn prayers, killing four, while four others sustained various degrees of injuries.

The attacks were said to have been carried out by three suicide bombers, who died in the process.

Total deaths came to 7 and about 18 who were injured in simultaneous suicide bombing.
