12 Killed in ISIS Attack on Zahrat Mall,an Iraqi Shiite Mall in the Capital Bagdhad

6 Takfiri’s from the Islamic States terrorist group (ISIS) carrying suicide vests detonated an suicide vehicle bound improvised explosive device (SVBIED) outside Zahrat mall, a Shiite mall in Baghdad, before opening fire on civilians using automatic assault rifles.

Initial incident assessment shows that at least 12 civilians were killed and several others taken hostage by the Takfiris . The assessment further reports that the malls lobby area extensively damaged.

The mall in Eastern Baghdad’s al-Jadida area was crowded. Police in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad report that the hostage situation ended with 14 people reportedly wounded in the attack.
