Yussuf Maalim Noor aka Yussuf Nur Aden aka Fanah, An Al-Shabaab top commander for guerilla warfare units and Amniyaat operatives leader along the Kenya-Somali border has surrendered to the Kenya security officials in Wajir.
The key commander tasked to coordinate attacks and collection of information about Kenya security agencies by the terror group surrendered through his clan elders in Kotulo area of Wajir in the North Eastern Province of Kenya.
Yussuf Maalim Noor aka Yussuf Nur Aden aka Fanah will be brought to Garissa town, the headquarters of Garissa County in NEP Kenya for debriefing by Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence service officials.
According to intelligence reports, Yussuf Maalim Noor aka Yussuf Nur Aden aka Fanah, is cooperating well with government officials and has provided very critical information that help in Kenya’s war on terrorism.
Analysts project this event as a big blow to Harak
at Shabaab Mujahideen. Loss of a tactician and a commander denies them leadership in theater. We are likely to see a very serious counter-strike by Kenya security services in coming few days.
