Somalia Federal President Hassan Mohamud warned the residents of Diinsoor of Al shabaab comeback.
Diinsoor town has been a strategic location for Al Shabaab in Somalia from where the militants planned and staged major attacks in the country.
On Wednesday 26th August 2015, President Hassan Mohamud paid the town an impromptu visit and addressed a section of local leaders, elders and residents.
The President reminded the residents that Diinsoor town has been a strategic location to militant operations for the eight years it was under their custody adding that its liberation was a huge blow to the Al Shabaab terrorist group.
Diinsoor town which has been under the rule of the Al Shabaab militants was home to some of local commanders as well as senior foreign militants.
SUMMARY
The situation has changed for the better and President Hassan has called on the local residents to work with the government and it security agencies to protect the gains which have s far been realized against the militants.
The Federal President commended government and AMISOM forces for doing a wonderful job in the country.
While addressing the gathering, the President urged them that if they want to live in peace and the militants to be defeated, then they must work with the government, citing the only way to defeat terror is by joining hands with the government.
