Stringent Security Swoops In Nairobi Nab Over 200 Somali Immigrants

security swoopKenyan Security Officers arrested 33 non-Kenyans mostly of Somali and South Sudanese decent the capital Nairobi in a security swoop in the wake the Paris attacks. They were nabbed in a series of stringent security measures put up in Kenya’s capital aimed at thwarting and preempting would be attacks especially as the festivities approach.

According to Nairobi County Commissioner the arrested were mainly in the city illegally and with no proper papers to warrant their presence in the country. They are all in police custody awaiting court arraignment over various charges following investigations.

Despite boosting security in the aftermath of the deadly Paris Attack, Kenya is getting ready for the historic visit of the Pope Francis.

The influx of Somalis in Kenya has increased over the few weeks with some using Kenya as a transit point to other countries like South Africa and the EU countries. According to officials, over 200 immigrants with no papers have been arrested in the recent weeks and are being investigated for any possible links with the Somali-based al Qaeda branch-al Shabaab.

It’s time the Kenyan govt got PATRIOTIC and provide leadership on matters foreigners. South Sudan got no respect for Kenyans in their country, Ethiopia is attacking our own police in our country while Somali last week deported Kenyans for lack of work permits and here we are treating FAKE REFUGEES like idiots

An eye for an eye will only make the world blind. Somali is still Somali and Garissa, Mogadishu, Jibuoti and Jigjiga belongs to them and can travel with no passes so Kenyan government should better turn their strengths to Marsabit where KDF are killed for no meaning by the Ethiopian government.
