Somali National Army Troops on Wednesday October 21st confirmed the arrest of Al Shabaab leader leading the platoon that was behind Qoryooley bridge explosion earlier in September.
The Lower Shabelle administration official confirmed the arrest of al Shabaab suspects among them the mastermind and the bomb maker of the bombs used to destroy the bridge.
The explosions that blew up two bridges in Qoryooley and Janaale towns cutting off AMISOM troop bases in the towns with the sole purpose of crippling the operation through supply and reinforcement cut off.
The arrests follow a series of multi-agency collaborations and calculated intelligence gathering that resulted to the arrest of all the kingpins of the bridge attacks.
