24th December 2015, Military reports coming in reveal that Russian Su-34 Fighter Jets have destroyed convoy of Islamic state tanker trucks in Syria as part of Moscow’s broader efforts to stem Daesh economic lifeline of illegal oil sales.
On a footage released by the Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, the footage shows a column of fuel tankers being destroyed by aerial raids in the northern city of Aleppo.
The Ministry also announced that Russian air force has targeted 1,093 Takfiri terrorist positions with 302 sorties in various locations in Syria since Friday.
The aerial raids destroyed a terrorist training camp housing a large group of experienced terrorists instructors located in the northwestern Idlib province.
Russian Su-34 jets also destroyed two oil storage facilities and multiple fuel pumps in Deir Ezzor province in eastern Syria while the Su-24 bomber conducted airstrikes against a concentration of Daesh military equipment in Homs province according to a Russian Military General.
Russia began its military campaign against terrorists operating in Syria upon a request from the Damascus government on September 30.
Since then it has conducted at least 5,000 sorties against the Takfiri threat.
