More than 10 members of the Al-Shabaab terror group offshoot along the Kenya-Somalia border, Jaysh Ayman terrorists, on Thursday 14th of July 2016, were killed after they attempted to overrun the Mangai Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU) Camp in Lamu, Lamu County, far-North Coastal Kenya.
One of the terrorists was killed outside the RDU Camp while bodies of others who succumbed to injuries have been recovered in the vast grass and woodlands during an operation to pursue the terrorists.
A Standard Issue AK-47 Assault rifle with a single magazine was recovered from the killed terrorists.
The National Police Services of Kenya (NPS) issued a statement confirming both incidents.
