Gunmen have killed over 30 Kenyan travelers 30 kilometers from Mandera town in a bloody orgy.
About 15 gunmen of Somali origin are confirmed to have conducted the terror attack at the Kenyan border town of Mandera.
The 15 are believed to be part of 30 terrorists who crossed over to Kenya through El-Wak, a border crossing town near the Somali-Kenya border.
Kenya security agencies have been deployed to Mandera to the area and have retrieved several bodies of the slain.
Initial intelligence analysis show the Al-Shabaab terrorists insignia.
Several Al-Shabaab sympathizers have claimed that Al-Shabaab terrorists indeed carried out the attack.
The terrorists behead Christians who they refer to as Kuffar or non-believers. This barbarianism is meant to terrorize Kenyans but it wont work, a security official has reaffirmed.
The incident happened 30-kilometers from Mandera town early in the morning.
The bus was carrying about 60 passengers. Intelligence reports show most of them may have been teachers.
Survivors who spoke to security officials say that the attackers separated Muslims from the Christians and beheaded the Christians.
Survivors called security officials who moved in quickly though the gunmen had already left in the thicket.
Kenya has tightened security around key cities and urban facilities to deter terrorism.
