Kenya’s Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkasserry, his Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and other bureaucrats of the ministry and Police service are in Jordan to purchase the high-end police equipment promised to the Police by President Uhuru.
The equipment being acquired is set to aid in the war against terror, crimes and criminal syndicates operating in Kenya as the Police Service gets a face lift to improve efficacy.

Interior CS of Kenya and other officials are on an equipment acquisition expedition in Jordan and Italy where Kenya is slated to purchase modern equipment for the Police service mainly air-support wing.
The modern equipment includes choppers, night vision goggles, armored personnel carriers (APCs) and assortment of police vehicles that are in line with the new outlook in the wake of terror and gang-related crimes in the country.
The nitty-gritties of the deals have been undisclosed for security reasons but the presence of top officials in the ministry and service is a clear indication of the seriousness and elimination of the cartels that exploited the equipment acquisitions.
An Agusta Westland AW139 helicopter among the paid for helicopter is expected in the country in a fortnight and with both day and night surveillance capabilities and a passenger capacity of 15 people from Italy as the remaining fleets is being assembled in Italy.
Upon delivery, the equipment will make the Police service history by having hi-tech equipment to help fight crime, penetrate delicate locations using the APC and adequate aerial support from the choppers and conduct timely evacuation and quick crime scene response time.
elimination of cartels.. since when did JORDAN start making military and police “equipment”…some of this things seriously don’t make sense…could they be busy eliminating the cartels so that they can become the cartels themselves… i stronlgy believe they are second hand…is someone busy trying to get a ‘bargain” what is thsi obsession with second hand things…?
